Trained as an Aeronautic Engineer, he set up Fanda Films in 2004 together with the producer Niko Verona with whom he has made more than thirty short films. Having worked across comedy, thrillers, social and documentary cinema he has been able to explore a wide variety of narratives and characters. Fanda Films’ productions have been shown in hundreds of festivals, receiving dozens of national and international awards. Sharp and agile dialogues, extreme characters and strange and dystopian atmospheres, characterize this prolific Spanish filmmaker’s work.

With his shortfilm 'Downunder' was Candidate to the Best fiction shortfilm in the Goyas Awards.

Six times nominated to the Méliè d’argent award to Best fantastic European feature film.

His first feature film won the Vanguard Comedy Jury award in the prestigious Austin Film Festival, and also have been obtained 4 audience awards in Spain.

'The passenger' his second feature as director, won Best feature in Isla de la calavera Canary Islands film festival. and was nominated in the most important genre film festivals of Spain, highlighting Sitges international film festival were the premiere was.

Internationally we can stand out the official selection in SIFF (Seattle International film festival), BIFFF (Brussels international fantastic film festival), BIFAN (Buncheon Fantastic film festival) or Morbido Film festival.

​

‘The Elderly’ is his third feature film with comercial release. The world premiere of the movie was in Montreal at Fantasia Film festival, where the movie won the Cheval Noir at best Actor. The USA premiere was in the official selection of Fantastic Fest Austin, and the European premiere was celebrate at the Oficial competition of Sitges Film Festival.

His movies has been acquired to be distributed in more than 100 countries.
